I’ve learned to unapologetically be myself around everyone. I speak myself. I act myself.  I love when someone doubts me or looks to my male business partner to answer a question. I love proving them wrong.

What do you do in the food world and what do you love about it?
I create tasting coffee drinks and atmospheres to match!

What moment or milestone are you most proud of in your career as an entrepreneur?
I get pretty hyped when I walk into the nitro bar and it's packed. It's surreal to see hard work pay off in real life - I spent days planning out the store, the menu, the design. It feels amazing to see people in the space enjoying a coffee, avocado toast and being happy.

What gets you pumped up and feeling confident? (music, mantras, self-love, etc)
Yoga Sculpt at Providence Power Yoga gets me super pumped. Yoga on top of a really nice curated playlist - i've been listening to Litany, Khalid and King Princess lately.

How do you resist the patriarchy?
I've learned to unapologetically be myself around everyone (especially the old crabby dudes). I'm a very opinionated person. I used to be embarrassed of this, but now I try to own it. If you are confident in yourself others will be too. I dress myself in what I want, not what i've been told is appropriate by society. I speak myself. I act myself.  I love when someone doubts me or looks to my male business partner to answer a question. I love proving them wrong.

How does the women in food community in providence (other women owners) support you?
Oh god, where to start! The women in the food community in Providence are incredible. Everyone is so genuine and we all try to help one another out wherever possible. It's nice to be able to have people you can look to for advice that are in similar shoes as you. The women in the Providence food community are just that!
